Mom
A phone call to heaven
I dreamed and woke up afraid
Alone in my bed, you were not by my side
But in my state, the thought of your company,
Was all that I needed
And I was at ease, knowing, everything was all right
You are my mother, and I owe you everything
Because of you, I am now a man
You have helped me grow
And gain knowledge that only a mother could teach
And on this day
I am reminded of just how important you are to my life
A life that you made
A life that you gave
I may be a man because of you
But even, as a woman,
You were stronger than any man I have ever known
And I will always, love you for that
Forever and always,
Your son,
Blake Robert Horsley
